The date of the next Festival is June 23-26, 2022.
In 2020, the pandemic cancelled the festival, and in 2021 we will organise it with a modified programme. This year’s festival will feature concerts and flash mobs.
In the evenings outstanding artists of the world of guitar give concerts that serve entertainment and learning at the same time. It is one of our aspirations that every artist should bring the concert material from his/her home country, ranging from early to contemporary music. Thus, the audience, by listening to the music of these countries will have the opportunity to have an insight into the related cultures, get to know their composers, and on the other hand, the guitarist could benefit from expanding their repertoires.
In the mornings the event provides opportunity for further education in the form of master courses for professional participants. At these master courses renowned artist-professors of the world share their knowledge, experience and trade secrets with the youth and their teachers.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, SHEET MUSIC AND GUITAR SUPPLIES FAIR AND EXHIBITION
In parallel with the morning master course sessions. At the exhibition of sheet music publishers, record companies and instrument makers our visitors can get an insight into the world of international publications and instrument manufacturing techniques.
The programs of the Guitar Festival are located at three beautifully restored central historic buildings of Balatonfüred. Besides visiting the festival program it is also worth getting to know the history of these buildings and visiting the exhibitions, which are open during the day at the same venues, for example before the concerts.
